Over the years, we've received numerous requests for live inventory, and we have listened closely to your feedback. "Live Inventory" has always been a tricky request for us since we are the manufacturer. We may be out of something in the morning but have more of that same out-of-stock product ready to ship by lunch. Essentially, we don't like to show out of stock when can potentially make it the same day.
Things to know about our "Live Inventory":
1. The "Live Inventory" feed is refreshed every 30 minutes to provide you with the most up-to-date inventory information.
2. The quantities you see represent reservable inventory, not our complete on-hand or buildable part quantities. Example: 20 parts are on hand, 10 are reserved to other customer orders – Stock status will show 10 available
Understanding Stocking Statuses:
To help you interpret the stocking statuses within our B2B portal, here's a brief explanation:
Out of Stock – Awaiting Parts from Supplier: This status indicates that a part number is currently out of stock but on its way from one of our vendors.
Out of Stock - In Production: When a part number is out of stock but actively being assembled/packaged to go on our shipping warehouse shelves, you'll see this status.
Low Stock: This status alerts you when a part number is running low, based on a percentage of our safety stock inventory level for each item.
In Stock: This status means the item is readily available at or above our safety stock inventory levels.
Low Stock – Closeout: When we are running low on a part number that we are discontinuing or no longer manufacturing, you will see this status.
Live Inventory Not Available - Contact Salesrep: While this status may appear, it will be uncommon. These items are not included in our live inventory program – that does not mean they are out of stock. Raw part live inventory will not be available in B2B portal so this status will apply to those items. Please contact your sales rep for confirmation of status. |
